Printing Checks

ChurchTrac Online will allow you to print multiple checks at a time. Click on "Print Checks" at the bottom of the Account Register screen. ChurchTrac Online will then create a check selection list. Select as many checks as you would like to print. Once a check has been printed, it will be removed from the check selection list. If you need to reprint a check, double-click on the check in the register window and click "print check". Printing Checks
The generic Quicken/QuickBooks/Microsoft Money unlined (or lined), business-size checks work with ChurchTrac Online. These are available online or at most office supply stores. If needed, you can change the printing positions on your checks by the adjusting the positioning of the fields. To raise or lower a field, adjust the vertical position. All vertical positions are measured in inches from the top of the check. Smaller numbers will move the field higher on the check, and larger numbers will move the field position further down on the check. To move the field left or right, adjust the horizontal position. All horizontal positions are measured in inches from the left side of the check. In this case smaller numbers will move the field to the left, and larger numbers will move the field to the right.

What format of blank checks should I use with ChurchTrac Online?

We support three different styles of business (Letter) size checks. The first is the voucher style that has the check on the top 1/3 of the page, followed by two check stubs at the bottom of the page. Secondly, you can choose the standard type that contains three full-size checks per page (no vouchers beneath or beside the checks). Finally, we also support printing on the middle voucher style check, where the check is in the middle of the page, with a voucher above and below the check. Typically, we recommend that you use checks that do not have pre-printed lines for the Payee, Date, etc., as this makes alignment more difficult.

Printing Accounting Reports

There are several ways to get accounting reports from ChurchTrac Online. First, the Reports menu on the Accounting screen's toolbar gives you acces to a Balance sheet, Income Statement (also called a profit/loss statement or statement of revenue and expense), and various Category and Fund reports. You can also click Search Transactions on the Accounting screen's toolbar to enter criteria for the items you are looking for, then generate a report with those results. All budget-related reports can be accessed from the Budget screen by clicking Budgets on the Accounting screen's toolbar. All payroll-related reports can be accessed from the Payroll module by clicking Payroll on the Accounting screen's toolbar.
